Text Messaging Can Improve…

Friday, January 19th, 2007

Cingular Agents will not look like COR…

Friday, January 12th, 2007

…Stores anymore. It is no secret that Cingular will be changing their name to AT&T. From the latest reports, this process will begin Monday. Cingular Wireless will be sold as “Wireless from AT&T.”

But there is another change that will come along with this. It looks like AT&T does not like the way Exclusive Agents from Cingular have been using Cingular branding. For the past 5 years or so, Exclusive Cingular Agents’ stores have signage and decor that looks exactly like a COR (Corporate Owned Retail) store. But once they officially change their name to AT&T, all of the agents will be forced to have a generic name (ie: ACME of XYZ) with a tag line below. This will likely read “Authorized Retailer of AT&T.”

From a customers perspective, there is virtually no difference between the products and services that a customer can receive at an Authorized Agent’s Location. vs. COR. In most cases, there is a shorter wait and a friendlier interaction. This is a result of having that small business feel with a local flair. In addition, since agent locations are locally owned and operated. By patroniozing them, you are contributing to your local economy rather than just feeding the corporate machine.

Once we at Comanco Cingular have completed our new Logo, we will be sure to post it for all to see. In the meantime, come visit on of our
